When observing a quality wool product against the light, a slight fuzz may appear, due to an excess of surface fibers. If moderate, this characteristic is a sign of the high quality of the product.

After a short period of use, due to friction, these excess fine fibers may form small pills. This phenomenon, called pilling, is absolutely normal in small quantities and can be easily removed with a soft brush. The excess fibers that are lost will not affect the structure of the throw, and this effect will gradually disappear once all superficial fibers have been eliminated. By following the care instructions on the product label, this plaid will become more and more precious over time. Not by chance, these plaids are also known as “the beautiful plaids of our grandmothers.”
